TCS expands collaboration with Microsoft to develop AI, cloud solutions

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), an Indian IT services provider, has expanded its partnership with Microsoft to develop new Artificial Intelligence (AI) and cloud-based solutions aimed at supporting business transformation across industries. The multi-year collaboration will focus on helping enterprises modernise legacy systems and move critical workloads to the cloud.
The partnership targets sectors such as financial services, retail, manufacturing, automotive, healthcare, and life sciences. TCS plans to integrate various Microsoft technologies into its platforms to support cloud adoption and AI-led transformation. These include Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, Microsoft Fabric, and Power Platform. These tools will be integrated into TCS offerings such as Cloud Exponence, Cloud Counsel, ignio for AIOps, Cloud Migration Factory, and its Cloud Governance and Optimisation Platform.
Through this collaboration, both companies aim to address challenges businesses face during digital transformation, such as high costs, workforce limitations, and lack of specialised knowledge. The focus will be on creating new solutions using AI tools, enhancing existing systems, and supporting faster, more efficient modernisation.

TCS will also bring Microsoft’s industry-specific cloud services into solutions like TCS Optumera for retail, Clever Energy for manufacturing, Industry Data Mesh, and AI WisdomNext. These will support businesses in making data-driven decisions and improving operations.
As part of the collaboration, TCS will align its engineering and solution teams with Microsoft Azure services to deliver integrated platforms. The partnership also aims to promote adoption of tools such as Microsoft 365 and support cybersecurity initiatives.
Krishna Mohan, Vice President and Global Head, Cloud Unit at Tata Consultancy Services, said, “This multi-year collaboration with Microsoft will enable customers to drive outcomes and discover opportunities using cloud-enabled, AI-driven solutions, and industry best practices.”

In addition, TCS has also announced the launch of three new hubs in Europe to accelerate innovation in software-defined vehicles (SDVs). Located in Germany and Romania, these centers are aimed at supporting automotive clients in developing next-generation mobility solutions. The hubs will focus on areas such as autonomous driving, electric vehicle systems, and connected car technologies, further strengthening TCS’s presence in the automotive sector and its commitment to advancing digital engineering capabilities in the region.
