Infosys grabs digital workplace transformation deal from European energy firm

European energy company E. ON has selected IT services firm Infosys to create a data-driven and sustainability-focused digital workplace ecosystem. This partnership will transform E. ON into a full-stack digital energy company.
The collaboration will leverage Infosys Topaz to modernize operations, enhance user value, and foster innovation through a product-centric and automated approach, while enforcing security and compliance. E.ON and Infosys will implement a human-centric support model to improve employee efficiency and to enable even faster business innovation.
“At E.ON, we are playmakers for new energy. Digitalization and digital technology are key for reliable, affordable and sustainable energy systems. Our strategic partnership with Infosys is essential for our digital transformation and operation - together, we are paving the way for a smarter, more efficient energy future,” said Victoria Ossadnik, COO Digital and Innovation, E.ON.
“We believe that energy companies like E.ON are at the forefront of driving a digital revolution driven by the need to better meet evolving customer demands and achieve operational excellence,” said Ashiss Kumar Dash, EVP & Global Head - Services, Utilities, Resources, Energy, and Enterprise Sustainability, Infosys.
“Infosys is committed to providing the solutions and support needed to help enterprises navigate this evolution, while creating lasting value for both the organization and its customers.”
Notably, in December 2024, Infosys announced a partnership with RheinEnergie, one of Germany’s leading energy providers, to advance enterprise energy transition and sustainability initiatives.
The partnership leverages Infosys Energy Cloud, a part of Infosys Cobalt and Infosys Topaz, the company’s AI-first offering, to help businesses boost energy efficiency by up to 30-40%, the company said in a statement. The collaboration is focused on implementing advanced solutions in cloud, data, AI, and Industry 4.0, targeting customers in travel and transportation, commercial real estate, and manufacturing sectors.
