UKG expands operations in India with new centre in Pune

US-based software company UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) has expanded its presence in India by opening a new Centre of Excellence in Pune, Maharashtra. 

The Pune centre will complement UKG’s existing offices in Noida, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. It is expected to accommodate up to 500 employees by the end of the year. The new facility will focus on enhancing the company's product development efforts, including its Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered workforce management platforms. 

UKG has been operating in India since 2007 and currently employs over 3,000 professionals in the country. The new centre is aimed at utilising Pune’s engineering talent and technology ecosystem to support the development of solutions used by customers in over 150 countries. The expansion is also expected to help the company scale its technology infrastructure and accelerate the delivery of its cloud-based services.

The company has recently made strategic leadership appointments, including naming Nitin Chandel as Group Vice President and India Country Manager. These appointments are intended to support the next phase of the company’s growth in the region. 

To support the new centre’s operations, UKG plans to hire more than 500 professionals in Pune across roles in engineering, product development, and customer support.

Our investment in this new centre reinforces our long-term commitment to India and recognises Pune’s rising stature in the global tech landscape as a strategic location for growth and AI-led innovation,” said Nitin Chandel, Group Vice President & India Country Manager, UKG.
