IT services firm Infosys has launched a new Artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven suite, Infosys Topaz for SAP S/4HANA Cloud, aimed at supporting companies in their transition to SAP’s cloud platform. The offering is designed to incorporate AI and generative AI into various stages of digital transformation.

The suite is built on Infosys’ existing cloud framework and includes tools and services meant to help businesses speed up their adoption of SAP S/4HANA Cloud. Infosys said that the new product combines pre-built solutions and implementation guides tailored to specific industries, allowing companies to modernise their operations more quickly and efficiently.

Several clients have already seen improvements using the suite. A global consumer goods company reported better accuracy in demand forecasting and lower planning costs, while a pharmaceutical firm was able to automate a significant portion of its code migration process. In another example, a power utility used Infosys tools to reduce billing errors and improve customer engagement.

SAP’s Jan Bungert described AI as a major opportunity for businesses, while Infosys executive Dinesh Rao said the new offering allows companies to embed AI at the core of their transformation plans.

“The rise of AI is a transformative force that companies are incorporating across all aspects of business. With Infosys Topaz for SAP S/4HANA Cloud, enterprises have a unique opportunity to leverage the power of AI upfront in the transformation blueprint and leapfrog to an AI-first enterprise. For companies embarking on the move from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA Cloud, the AI suite will significantly fast track the adoption journey. We are delighted to collaborate with SAP to help our joint customers drive innovation, enhance resilience, and create sustainable value,”  Rao added.

Roche, one of the early adopters, has been working with Infosys and SAP on a programme to simplify and modernise its global IT systems. The healthcare company said the initiative is helping to streamline operations and unlock insights from data.
