
Decimal Point Analytics reshuffles leadership, gets new CTO


Artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven financial solutions provider Decimal Point Analytics has named Vaibhav Poonekar as its new Chief Technology Officer. The appointment is part of a broader internal reshuffle, with several senior employees promoted to key positions across departments.
Poonekar steps into the role after nearly five years with the company. He first joined Decimal Point Analytics as Assistant Vice President – Automation and Development Lead, bringing with him a background in enterprise automation and AI-led technology solutions. Over the years, he has earned promotions to Vice President and later, Senior Vice President.
In his new role, Poonekar will oversee the company’s overall technology roadmap. His focus will be on strengthening the integration of AI, data engineering, and financial modelling within the firm’s suite of solutions.

Prior to joining the firm, Poonekar served as Solutions Architect Manager at UAE Exchange, where he worked for six months in Abu Dhabi. He also spent over 15 years at TickerPlant Ltd., gaining deep experience in financial technology solutions. Poonekar holds both a Master’s degree in Computer Applications and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Sardar Patel University, graduating with distinction.
Alongside Poonekar’s elevation, the company announced several other leadership promotions. These include Nikesh Satra and Shyam Pardeshi as Executive Vice Presidents for Research and Data Operations, Prasad Nawathe as Executive Vice President for Investor Relations, and Pravas Kumar Sahoo as Executive Vice President for Valuation and Advisory.
The company’s chief executive, Shailesh Dhuri, noted that the changes are aimed at enhancing the firm’s ability to deliver client-focused, technology-driven solutions in the evolving financial services landscape.
