Coforge expands collaboration with Microsoft to enhance developer productivity

Digital services provider Coforge has strengthened its partnership with Microsoft to integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) into developer productivity solutions. The move is part of the company’s AI-first strategy, aimed at modernising legacy applications and improving new code development for clients.
As part of the initiative, Coforge has trained more than 10,000 developers on GitHub Copilot. The company has also developed AI-powered tools using GitHub Copilot to transition outdated applications to modern technologies. Additionally, Coforge has been working with clients across various industries to implement GitHub Copilot in different development environments.
Coforge has also secured the Accelerate Developer Productivity with Microsoft Azure specialisation, previously known as DevOps with GitHub Advanced Specialisation. This certification recognises companies that enhance developer productivity through Microsoft’s AI-integrated toolchain. It requires meeting strict criteria, including expertise in Microsoft and GitHub tools and significant engagement with Azure services.

Matt Finkelstein, Vice President of Global Microsoft and Partner Solution Sales at GitHub, acknowledged the achievement, stating that it would enable Coforge to help businesses improve efficiency and accelerate development processes.
Coforge’s Executive Vice President and Head of the Microsoft Business, Vic Gupta, said the company remains committed to leveraging AI-driven tools to optimise workflows and streamline development. He noted that the firm had already achieved over 30% productivity gains in fresh code development for a client by forward engineering legacy applications.
Earlier this month, Coforge extended its partnership with ServiceNow to establish a Generative AI Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Greater Noida. The initiative integrates Coforge’s AI framework, Quasar, with ServiceNow’s AI Agents to assist businesses in adopting AI-driven solutions.

The CoE is designed to help organisations explore and scale AI applications across financial services, insurance, healthcare, and travel industries. It focuses on areas such as payment processing, fraud detection, dispute management, and digital operations.
Coforge’s CEO and Executive Director, Sudhir Singh, said the investment in the AI Centre of Excellence would accelerate the adoption of the ServiceNow platform for business transformation.
