RateGain Travel Technologies Limited, a provider of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions for the travel and hospitality industry, on Monday announced the appointment of Anurag Jain as its new Executive Vice President for the APMEA region. With this role, Jain will focus on driving growth, strengthening partnerships, and expanding the company’s reach across the Asia-Pacific, Middle East, and Africa regions.

Jain, who is set to conclude his tenure at Expedia Group, reflected on his journey in a LinkedIn post. He described his experience at Expedia as a significant phase in his career, filled with growth, connections, and valuable lessons. Having previously worked at Amazon before joining Expedia, he credited his time in the travel technology sector as an enriching experience that aligned with his values and aspirations.

With over 20 years of leadership experience, Jain has held key positions at global organisations such as Expedia, Amazon, Johnson & Johnson, and Godrej. At Expedia, he was responsible for managing operations in South Asia, Indonesia, and China, assisting numerous hotel partners in scaling their businesses and optimising revenue strategies.

Bhanu Chopra, Founder and Managing Director of RateGain, highlighted Jain’s role in navigating the rapidly evolving digital landscape in the travel industry. He emphasised that Jain’s leadership would be instrumental in helping clients maximise revenue and enhance distribution strategies in a highly competitive market.

On his new role, Jain said that he looks forward to working with industry leaders and bringing innovative solutions to hotels, airlines, and online travel agencies across the APMEA region. He sees this as an opportunity to drive meaningful impact in a dynamic and growing market.

Jain holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from C. K. Pithawala College of Engineering & Technology, Surat, where he was a gold medallist. He also earned a Master’s degree in General Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Mumbai.
