TechM expands partnership with Google Cloud to drive AI adoption

India’s fifth largest IT services company Tech Mahindra has announced an expansion of its partnership with Google Cloud to accelerate the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and support digital transformation for businesses worldwide. The collaboration aims to help enterprises achieve greater agility, scalability, and growth by integrating advanced AI-driven solutions into their operations.

By combining Tech Mahindra’s industry expertise with Google Cloud’s AI capabilities, including its Gemini models and AI development platform, the partnership will focus on creating tailored solutions for various sectors such as healthcare, communications, automotive, retail, manufacturing, and financial services. These efforts will assist businesses in modernising their infrastructure and optimising the return on investment from AI-powered cloud solutions.

Atul Soneja, Chief Operating Officer at Tech Mahindra, highlighted the challenges enterprises face in adopting AI, including regulatory compliance and generating real business value. He stated that the partnership would help businesses scale AI adoption in a responsible manner by co-developing industry-specific solutions. These AI-driven tools aim to simplify operations, improve efficiency, and unlock new growth opportunities while ensuring compliance with evolving regulations.

The collaboration is expected to accelerate the development and deployment of AI-powered solutions, allowing enterprises to gain early access to emerging technologies. To strengthen this initiative, Tech Mahindra has made significant investments in training and upskilling its workforce. This includes a network of over 2,000 certified professionals and more than 10,000 trained engineers working across multiple AI and cloud-based programmes globally.

Kevin Ichhpurani, President of Global Partner Ecosystem & Channels at Google Cloud, emphasised the importance of advanced AI tools and industry expertise in maximising AI investments. He noted that the partnership with Tech Mahindra would provide businesses with the necessary managed services to effectively implement AI solutions using Google Cloud’s AI platform.

As part of this expansion, Tech Mahindra has also set up dedicated delivery centres in Guadalajara and Mexico. These centres will focus on providing AI and cloud-based services to assist enterprises in upgrading their infrastructure. 

Earlier this month, Tech Mahindra entered into an agreement with Telefónica España, a leading telecommunications provider in Spain, to enhance its network operations.

Under this agreement, Tech Mahindra will offer operational support across various network domains, service platforms, and TV services, helping Telefónica España streamline its infrastructure with unified workflows and smooth operations.

By utilising AI and automation, Tech Mahindra aims to deliver advanced solutions that will optimise processes, boost efficiency, and ensure high-quality service for Telefónica España's customers.
