Orient Technologies joins hands with AWS to advance AI

Mid-sized IT services company Orient Technologies announced a partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) India on Thursday to provide enhanced GPU and Artificial Intelligence (AI) services for the domestic market. This collaboration supports the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology’s (MeitY) IndiaAI initiative, underscoring Orient Technologies’ dedication to fostering AI development and promoting innovation within India’s technology landscape.
AWS’ high-performance GPUs present cost-effective options for AI model training, enabling businesses to optimise their budgets while accelerating AI advancements. By utilising AWS’s GPU technology, AI services, and cloud infrastructure, the Mumbai-based firm seeks to help organisations leverage AI capabilities on a larger scale.
Orient offers services such as data centre solutions, cloud, and managed services. The partnership is anticipated to lower AI training expenses by more than 50% and enhance energy efficiency by 25%, thereby making AI integration more accessible and sustainable for businesses, the company said in a statement.

“Our engagement with MeitY’s IndiaAI mission underscores our expertise in managing large-scale digital infrastructure. With AWS’s support, we aim to drive large-scale AI deployment, strengthen India’s digital infrastructure, and position India as a global leader in AI development,” Umesh Shah, Director, Orient Technologies Ltd, said.
