VVDN partners with Red Hat to deliver 5G RIC to telcos, enterprises

VVDN Technologies has announced a collaboration with Red Hat Inc. to deploy its RAN Intelligent Controller (RIC) on Red Hat OpenShift. The partnership aims to improve the performance, scalability, and security of Radio Access Networks (RAN) for enterprises and telecom operators.
With the increasing adoption of 5G and demand for efficient network management, VVDN’s RIC, now certified on Red Hat OpenShift, is designed to optimize and automate network resources in real time. The solution incorporates AI-driven insights to predict and address network issues before they affect users. It also supports various RAN architectures and multi-vendor environments while improving resource utilization to reduce operational costs.
Deploying the RIC solution on Red Hat OpenShift allows enterprises to leverage cloud-native capabilities for seamless management. The integration supports automatic scaling of RIC components to meet demand and ensures high availability. The platform also enhances security measures to protect applications and data while enabling streamlined development through DevSecOps practices.

Puneet Agarwal, CEO, VVDN Technologies, said, "This collaboration allows us to combine our RIC expertise with Red Hat’s renowned hybrid cloud application platform, Red Hat OpenShift, providing telecom operators and enterprises with a solution that meets current demands and is future-proofed for the growing complexities of 5G and beyond."
Marshal Correia, Vice President and General Manager of Red Hat India, emphasized that the partnership aims to deliver scalable and secure cloud-native solutions for modern networks, addressing the evolving needs of enterprises and telecom operators in the 5G era.
Last week, Applied Ventures, the venture capital division of US-based Applied Materials, announced on Monday its investment in VVDN Technologies. The funding aims to support the India-based company in advancing research and development efforts in next-generation semiconductor technologies, electronic products, and solutions. VVDN also plans to strengthen its design and manufacturing capabilities to better serve global semiconductor and systems companies.
