Lennox, a global provider of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) solutions, has announced a $6 million investment to expand its Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Chennai. The expansion increases the facility's size to 150,000 square feet and aims to grow the workforce from 900 to 1,500 employees. The new office includes collaborative workstations.
The Chennai GCC was established in 2010 and has become a strategic hub for Lennox. Initially focused on IT and Engineering, its operations have expanded to include Finance, Marketing Communications, HR, Legal, Customer Experience, and Sourcing.
Prakash Bedapudi, Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, said, "Chennai remains a vital hub for our global operations. Over the past 15 years, Lennox has invested $14 million in India, reinforcing our commitment to innovation, job creation, and sustainable development.”

With this expansion, Lennox aims to strengthen its operations and support various business functions. The company is taking advantage of Tamil Nadu’s policies and workforce to improve its services. The growing presence in Chennai will help Lennox enhance collaboration and develop new HVACR solutions for its customers.
The company launched its data center division in November 2024, with Matt Evans, the former global director of data center operations at FlӓktGroup, leading the initiative.
“With renewed investment and focus, this business will adopt an engineering consultancy approach to designing data center heat-rejection solutions. Our goal is to treat each project based on its unique needs, collaborating closely with customers to develop the best solution using our complete range of products,” Evans stated at the time.
