Bengaluru-based Reverie partners with French firm to boost video accessibility in 11 Indian languages

Reverie Language Technologies, a Bengaluru-based company on Monday partnered with French startup Mediawen to boost video accessibility by enabling seamless localisation into 11 Indian languages. The partnership that aims to make digital content more inclusive was announced at the Paris AI Summit.
The summit which is co-chaired by Indian Prime Minister Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron, focuses on establishing global guidelines for ethical AI development, fostering international cooperation, and addressing AI safety and regulation.
The partnership integrates Reverie's advanced AI technologies—Automated Translation, Speech-to-Text, and Text-to-Speech APIs—into Mediawen’s SaaS localisation platform, MEDIAWEN•HUB.

This integration will establish a sophisticated, AI-powered video localisation ecosystem tailored for Indian users, offering automated transcription, translation, and speech synthesis in 11 Indian languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Marathi, Telugu, Odia, Punjabi, Malayalam, and Gujarati. By combining high-quality European video with localised Indian language interfaces, the initiative seeks to eliminate language barriers to accessing quality digital content, the company said in a statement.
That said, the impact of this partnership goes beyond mere translation and subtitles. By utilising AI automation, the solution enhances accuracy, efficiency, and scalability in localisation, benefiting various industries such as education, entertainment, e-learning, corporate training, and digital marketing. Content creators, businesses, and educational institutions will be able to reach audiences in their preferred languages without the costs and delays of manual translation.
Additionally, this localisation technology will be integrated into Coming2India.com, a new full-service localisation platform supported by Eureka Innowwide. This platform combines Reverie’s AI language solutions, Mediawen’s multilingual SaaS, and Braahmam’s native language experts to deliver a seamless end-to-end localisation experience, enabling global businesses and content providers to adapt their videos for the Indian market more efficiently.

Erwan de Kerautem, CEO of Mediawen, emphasised the strategic value of this Franco-Indian partnership, noting that their complementary technologies and shared values will enhance access to video content in regional languages, supporting education, training, and entertainment for a broader audience. He expressed confidence that this initiative would significantly boost digital inclusion in India.
Vivekananda Pani, Co-Founder of Reverie Language Technologies, underscored the rising demand for localised video content in India, highlighting that over two billion videos are shared daily across digital platforms. With Reverie’s AI language solutions integrated into MEDIAWEN•HUB, he believes the partnership will empower the next generation of content creators and help businesses connect with audiences in their native languages.
According to the companies, the partnership represents a significant step toward making video content accessible to India’s diverse population, ensuring digital transformation reaches every corner of the country.
