Tata Communications, CoRover.ai partner to advance enterprise AI in India

Tata Communications and CoRover.ai have joined hands to develop Sovereign AI solutions for Indian enterprises and government institutions. Sovereign AI refers to a nation’s ability to create and manage artificial intelligence (AI) using its own infrastructure, data, and workforce while ensuring regulatory compliance and data security. 

The collaboration will leverage Tata Communications’ Sovereign AI Cloud Platform and CoRover’s conversational AI capabilities, including BharatGPT, a proprietary large language model. The aim is to provide AI-driven solutions tailored to India’s digital ecosystem. These solutions will focus on applications in government services, public infrastructure, and enterprise sectors, enhancing efficiency, security, and accessibility.

As part of the partnership, AI-powered tools will assist government agencies in improving service delivery and accountability. Enterprises will also have access to AI-driven solutions for text, voice, and video applications. The initiative will also ensure that data remains within India’s borders and is processed using locally trained models on secure cloud infrastructure. The solutions will also provide multilingual support.

The Sovereign AI platform will support open-source AI initiatives and focus on energy-efficient solutions. It aims to advance AI talent in India while maintaining data security and regulatory adherence. The collaboration seeks to enhance national AI capabilities and contribute to India’s position in the global AI landscape, the company said.
