Homegrown social media company ShareChat has announced its first Southeast Asia AI Centre of Excellence in Singapore. After the US and UK, this is ShareChat’s third establishment outside India. This center will be helmed by their newly appointed CTO, Nitin Jain.

This innovation center will help the company reach a larger network of specialised Artificial Intelligence (AI) talent in the region and build an advanced technology stack. ShareChat also aims to strengthen its AI models, develop machine learning models to personalise content, and optimise ad targeting. ShareChat aims to have a small team of over 30 members in the next three years.

“With support from EDBI, the strategic investment arm of the Singapore Economic Development Board, we are extremely proud and excited to set up our new AI centre of excellence in Singapore to tap into the region’s deep pool of highly experienced AI and ML (Machine Learning) talent that will help accelerate the growth of India’s largest homegrown content and social media ecosystem,” said Ankush Sachdeva, CEO and Cofounder, ShareChat and Moj. Singapore’s AI Centre of Excellence will facilitate knowledge exchange between our existing AI teams in India, the US and UK.
