Genpact announces AI Gigafactory to help enterprises scale AI projects
Technology services firm Genpact on Tuesday announced the launch of its Artificial Intelligence (AI) Gigafactory, which integrates the company's proprietary Agentic Solutions with AI tools and a responsible AI framework to scale up AI-led transformation. This initiative aims to develop a network of over 25,000 AI builders.
Sanjeev Vohra, Chief Technology and Innovation Officer at Genpact, told TechCircle that the AI Gigafactory will help businesses quickly scale AI solutions from pilot projects to full production. It meets the growing demand for enterprise-wide AI adoption while addressing governance challenges in an evolving landscape.
He quoted the findings of HFS Research which shows that despite the eagerness to harness AI's potential, only 5% of enterprises have achieved full AI maturity. “While the benefits of AI are evident, many businesses struggle to implement it at scale. A multi-disciplinary approach, combining industry expertise, data proficiency, technology, and specialised talent, is crucial for driving transformative impact,” Vohra said, adding that the Gigafactory will offer scalable AI solutions through agentic solutions, with a transformative approach that enhances operational efficiency.
Genpact has partnered with technology partners like Databricks for this initiative. “Genpact's AI Gigafactory is essential for helping companies scale their AI projects,” said Sabina Shaikh, Vice President at Databricks. Giving an example, she said, that integrating the finance data hub with the Databricks data intelligence platform, can help enterprises transform their financial data usage for greater agility and insights.
Vohra further emphasised that their data marketplaces and engineering libraries provide thousands of pre-built AI and generative models, driving both scale and speed-to-value. The Gigafactory utilises a strong risk framework, ethical design tools, and a “humans-in-the-loop” approach to ensure responsible and ethical data and AI usage.
“The critical question regarding AI is no longer if but how to scale it effectively across organisations. A significant challenge is accessing cross-functional, AI-ready talent,” Vishal Gupta, Partner at Everest Group, said in a statement, adding that this kind of strategy can facilitate faster deployment of AI-ready professionals and enhances value for enterprise clients.
