PwC India has strengthened its collaboration with U.S.-based software firm Automation Anywhere. Through this partnership, PwC India will integrate the software company’s Agentic AI capabilities into its proprietary Intelligent Spend Management Suite (ISMS).

Agentic AI refers to autonomous AI models that perform complex tasks and make decisions independently. In addition to generative AI’s focus on meeting customer needs by focusing on content creation from existing data, agentic AI relies on patterns and likelihoods to make decisions and take actions, as opposed to deterministic systems—such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA)—that follow fixed rules and predefined outcomes.

This integration follows the strategic partnership established in November 2024 between Automation Anywhere and PwC India, aimed at leveraging generative AI to transform business operations across verticals including financial services, retail, manufacturing, telecom, media and communication, and healthcare. The collaboration aims at automating key finance functions by delivering innovative solutions that address evolving organizational needs.

PwC India said in a press release that the key Features of PwC India’s ISMS include generative AI agents which provide advanced insights, process validation and automated execution of actions along with a modular design that ensures compatibility and seamless integration with existing enterprise systems. Other key benefits include API-First architecture to support faster implementation and scalability and data-driven workflows to enhance operational transparency and decision-making processes..

Ankur Kothari, COO of Automation Anywhere added that the company’s Agentic Process Automation platform “drives actions by solving real-world customer problems with GenAI”.

According to a report published by PwC, GenAI is poised to make a significant economic impact, with estimates suggesting it could contribute between US$2.6 trillion and US$4.4 trillion annually to global GDP by 2030 across various sectors. Analysts believe that the future of GenAI is agentic, where AI agents collaborate in real time to automate complex tasks and enhance decision-making.
