Optiemus partners with Taiwan’s KunWay Technology to boost drone manufacturing in India

Optiemus Unmanned Systems, a subsidiary of Optiemus Infracom Limited, has partnered with Taiwan-based KunWay Technology to manufacture and localise drones in India. The company plans to produce and sell KunWay’s drone models in India, with potential to expand the portfolio based on market demand. 

Optiemus will use its advanced manufacturing facilities in Noida to produce KunWay’s drones, leveraging its local expertise and infrastructure, it said. 

KunWay, operating from the Chiayi AI Drone Center in Taiwan, specialises in drone product design and Artificial Intelligence (AI) system development, serving markets in the US and Japan. The company aims to enhance precision in drone applications and adapt its products for evolving global needs. 

Ashok Gupta, Chairman, Optiemus Infracom said, “We are looking to expand our portfolio of products in the Indian market. Our partnership with KunWay is in line with this goal and we aim to launch their products in the Indian market and localise as per the need of defence and homeland security and bring India on a global stage of drone manufacturing.”

Earlier this month, the company also partnered with LS Spectrum Solutions to market and distribute drone-based spectrum analyser solutions in India, further expanding its offerings in the sector.
