HCLTech announces partnerships with Carrix, Microsoft
IT services firm HCLTech has partnered with Seattle-headquartered Carrix to leverage the former’s advanced suite of AI of Things (AIoT) technology platform. HCLTech’s solutions will help improve the world’s largest marine and rail terminal operator's global port operations.
This implementation will initially be deployed in Carrix’s transportation ports in Mexico with the opportunity to expand to more of its ports located in North and South America.
HCLTech will leverage its automation, AIoT, and Vision AI expertise to unify Carrix’s various terminal management tools into one optimised system to ensure safe and secure port operations. The VisionX AI Edge advanced AIoT technology platform will integrate with Carrix’s network of cameras, in-vehicle fleet management systems, and sensors to generate actionable insights with real-time dashboards.
The integrated AIoT platform will enhance decision-making, streamline compliance processes, and improve operational performance. Additionally, the artificial intelligence (AI)-powered insights will improve worker safety and situational awareness.

In a related but separate news, HCLTech has also announced an extension of its partnership with Microsoft. It will entail transforming customer service experiences with generative AI and cloud-based contact center solutions. For its clients, HCLTech will activate Microsoft Dynamics 365 Contact Center, a Copilot-first customer solution.
Under this, Nuance’s Enterprise Professional Services business—including the team and existing customer contracts— will be transferred to HCLTech and become a part of its contact center offering. Microsoft’s current team of more than 550 Nuance Enterprise Professional Services. HCLTech will become the exclusive professional services partner for existing customer contracts of the Nuance Enterprise Professional Services organisation. HCLTech will also become the preferred partner to support the migration of existing Nuance Enterprise Professional Services customers to the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Contact Center.
HCLTech will operate a Nuance Migration Factory to migrate Nuance solutions efficiently and at scale while expanding the Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS) business for both HCLTech and Microsoft. HCLTech will also serve as a leading partner for new Microsoft Dynamics 365 Contact Center implementations. Microsoft customers will gain access to HCLTech’s AI-led digital transformation services.
On Monday, HCLTech announced its quarterly results. For Q3FY25, the firm reported a 5% rise in revenue from operations to ₹29,890 crore for Q3 FY25, up from ₹28,446 crore in Q3 FY24. Net profit increased by 5.5% to ₹4,591 crore for the quarter that ended December 31, 2024, reflecting strong financial performance amid macroeconomic challenges, led by digital and AI transformation deals.
