Eli Lilly and Company (Lilly), a pharmaceutical company based in the US, has announced the establishment of a new global capability centre in Hyderabad. The centre, called Lilly Capability Centre India (LCCI) Hyderabad, is expected to begin operations by mid-2025.

The facility will employ over 1,000 professionals specialising in technology and data science. It will focus on areas such as automation, artificial intelligence, software product engineering, and cloud computing. These efforts aim to enhance the company's digital strategies and support its global business operations.

This will be Lilly’s second capability centre in India. The first, located in Bengaluru, was launched in 2016. The Hyderabad centre is part of Lilly's initiative to expand its technological capacity and streamline operations through advanced data insights and innovation.
