ISGEC Heavy Engineering’s CIO Steps Down

ISGEC Heavy Engineering’s Chief Information Officer (CIO), Sanjay Kumar Gharde, has stepped down from his role. The heavy engineering firm notified the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) of Gharde’s resignation during the closing hours on Friday. The company has yet to appoint a new CIO.

According to the filing, Gharde is leaving the organisation due to "unavoidable circumstances" and will serve his three-month notice period. He has been with the company for nearly four years. A technology veteran with 30 years of experience, Gharde has worked and managed teams across the cement, engineering and construction, hospitality, steel manufacturing, real estate, and paper manufacturing industries. He has led various business transformation initiatives, IT strategies, change management, and IT security projects for B2B, B2C, and retail businesses.

Previously, Gharde worked at firms such as JIL Information Technology Ltd (Jaypee Group), Jindal SAW Limited, and JK Paper. Before joining ISGEC in 2021, he served as Head of IT at JK Paper, where he led IT functions across the company and its subsidiaries, developing digital strategy plans and IT master plans.

With 20 years of experience in the HR industry, Arora is now leading the company’s HR strategies aimed at enhancing organisational culture, advancing HR technology, and building strong teams.

Before joining ISGEC, Arora was the Group Chief People Officer at Jakson Group. She has also worked at Sony and Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), where she contributed to various HR initiatives.
