Optiemus partners with LS Spectrum to bring drone-based spectrum analysers to India
Optiemus Unmanned Systems (OUS), a subsidiary of Optiemus Infracom, has partnered with LS Spectrum Solutions, a subsidiary of Germany-based LS Telecom AG, to introduce drone-based spectrum analyser solutions in India. The collaboration will focus on the marketing, assembly, and distribution of these systems in the Indian market.
The drone-based spectrum analysers are designed for monitoring and managing communication frequencies, with applications in sectors such as defence, telecommunications, and civil aviation. The technology enables real-time detection and analysis of spectrum usage, addressing challenges in spectrum management and surveillance.
As part of the partnership, OUS will initially market and sell LS Spectrum’s drone-based solutions, with plans to explore additional products in the future. These drones will enhance capabilities such as spectrum surveillance, direction finding, geolocation, electronic support measures, and signals intelligence. The solutions also aim to contribute to the Indian government’s “Make in India” initiative.
Ashok Gupta, Chairman of Optiemus Infracom, said, “We see this collaboration as a perfect opportunity to leverage our distribution and localisation capabilities to deliver quality solutions for the Indian defence, homeland security, and aviation industries, while forging global partnerships to advance the Make-in-India story.”
Prasad Kerkar, Director of LS Spectrum Solutions, stated, “We aim to increase awareness and adoption of these innovative products across India and work closely with Optiemus.”
