LTIMindtree unveils AI-powered cyber defense resiliency centre in Bengaluru
IT company LTIMindtree has launched its Cyber Defense Resiliency Centre (CDRC) in Bengaluru to strengthen enterprise security against growing cyber threats. The centre aims to provide global clients with advanced artificial intelligence (AI)-powered solutions to detect, respond to, and mitigate cybersecurity risks. Leveraging generative AI (GenAI), the facility offers proactive and predictive security capabilities to manage the cyber threat lifecycle effectively.
The increasing frequency and sophistication of cyberattacks underscore the need for such initiatives. A USAID report projects global cybercrime costs to reach $23.84 trillion by 2027, while India alone reported nearly 600 cyberattacks in the first half of 2024. LTIMindtree’s new centre is designed to address these challenges with round-the-clock operations offering real-time threat intelligence and incident response.
According to Nachiket Deshpande, Whole-Time Director and COO of LTIMindtree, the CDRC integrates AI and automation to enhance operational efficiency and enable rapid responses to cyber incidents. The facility also doubles as an experience centre, showcasing LTIMindtree’s data security capabilities to clients. It supports the company’s broader mission of embedding AI in all aspects of its services.
LTIMindtree has been actively expanding its footprint in AI and digital transformation. Earlier this month, it announced a $6 million investment in Voice.AI, a startup specialising in conversational AI solutions. Additionally, in November, the company partnered with Microsoft to deliver advanced AI-driven digital transformation solutions to enterprises worldwide.
The launch of the CDRC reinforces LTIMindtree’s commitment to helping enterprises navigate the complexities of cybersecurity while driving innovation and resilience in an increasingly digital landscape.
