GlobalLogic partners with Nokia to advance 5G enterprise solutions
Digital engineering firm GlobalLogic, part of the Hitachi Group, has announced a partnership with Nokia to promote the adoption of 5G and 4G solutions for enterprises. The collaboration aims to develop advanced use cases across sectors such as automotive, industrial, and financial services.
The partnership leverages Nokia’s Network as Code (NaC) platform, which enables developers to access advanced network capabilities. GlobalLogic’s software teams will use the platform’s tools, including Software Development Kits (SDKs) and API documentation, to create network-aware applications that operate across different network environments.
As per the company, initial efforts will focus on enhancing operational efficiency, fraud management, and customer experience, while identifying new revenue opportunities. Specific applications include improving worker safety, operational efficiency, and sustainability for industrial and automotive firms. Examples include using connected devices like smart helmets and wearables to monitor real-time worker locations and environmental factors, such as gas levels or temperature, to prevent hazards. Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered predictive maintenance and digital twins will help identify issues early, improving operations and reducing risks.
In the financial sector, 5G-driven network insights and APIs can enhance fraud prevention, secure transactions, and enable personalised services, improving customer trust and experience, the company said.
According to GlobalLogic, the partnership is also intended to help communication service providers monetise their investments in 5G technology.
“Through this partnership, we are positioned to not only accelerate 5G innovation, but also redefine the way enterprises interact with and benefit from network technologies, helping communication service providers to monetise their 5G investments,” said Sameer Tikoo, Group Vice President & General Manager, Communications & Network Providers Business Unit at GlobalLogic.
