Infosys Compaz strengthens ties with StarHub to drive tech-led innovation
Infosys Compaz, a joint venture of Infosys and Singaporean state holding company Temasek on Wednesday said it has strengthened its collaboration with Singapore-based communications, entertainment and digital services provider StarHub to accelerate its operations and drive technology-led innovations.
Through the engagement, which originally dates back to January 2023, the Infosys JV will facilitate StarHub’s technology operations, with a focus on transforming the company into a cloud-centric enterprise, prioritising AI and cloud technologies, cybersecurity, and digital transformation, the company said in a statement.
Infosys Compaz will also provide generative AI solutions and workplace transformation technologies, enabling StarHub to explore new market opportunities.
The partnership will leverage Infosys Cobalt and Infosys Topaz to streamline operations, enhance decision-making, and achieve cost efficiencies for global organisations. Together, they will develop AI models using telecommunications data for tailored industry solutions.
Tan Kit Yong, Head of Enterprise Business Group at StarHub, said that their partnership with iCompaz will enhance their offerings and technologies to better meet client needs, aligning with their DARE+ strategy to strengthen its position as a full-service provider for businesses in connectivity, cloud, cybersecurity, and ICT services.
To be sure, StarHub unveiled DARE+ in October 2021, ending its Dare 1.0 strategy, further aiming to take the brand from a telco to a company that connects and enriches digital lives for customers. For example, DARE+ cuts across over-the-top (OTT) streaming entertainment, cloud gaming and digital solutions — driving consumption through all-encompassing super-app platforms for customers.
Atul Babu, CEO of Infosys Compaz, added that the collaboration aims to create innovative solutions using Infosys Topaz and Cobalt to improve operational and cost efficiencies for StarHub's customers.
In February this year, Infosys signed a multi-year contract with Singaporean shipping company Pacific International Lines (PIL) to accelerate PIL's digital transformation.
Infosys is also in partnership with the Singapore statutory board, Infocomm Media Development Authority of Singapore (IMDA), under the Ministry of Communications and Information, announced plans to hire 300 Singaporean techies by 2025 across a variety of roles.
The company is further looking to strengthen its presence in the city-state while supporting the Singapore Government’s ongoing programs to create employment opportunities for freshers and mid-career professionals.
