HCLSoftware appoints Vikrant Chowdhary as Senior Vice President & Country Head for India

HCLSoftware, the enterprise software division of HCLTech, has named Vikrant Chowdhary as Senior Vice President and Country Head for India. 

Chowdhary, based in the Delhi-NCR region, will oversee HCLSoftware’s business in India, focusing on growth and innovation across key sectors, including enterprise, banking and financial services (BFSI), and government.  

He will also contribute to the company's Make in India initiative, aiming to position HCLSoftware as the largest India-based global enterprise software products company, it said. 

With over 27 years of leadership experience, Chowdhary has a strong background in scaling technology-driven businesses. His expertise includes go-to-market strategy, team leadership, and technology solutions for enterprise and financial services. His leadership will be crucial to HCLSoftware’s expansion in India's fast-growing market. 

Chowdhary has held senior roles at major technology companies such as Salesforce, SAP, Teradata, and IBM, and has worked with several successful startups. Prior to joining HCLSoftware, he served as the first Chief Growth Officer at CleverTap, where he played a key role in driving growth and operational improvements.

Chowdhary holds a Post-Graduate degree in Industrial Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Mumbai.
