Amazon Web Services (AWS) has named Sandeep Dutta, a former Accenture India business leader, as its new president for India and South Asia. Dutta brings over 20 years of experience in IT services, leading significant business transformations at Accenture. Besides his tenure at Accenture, he spent over five years at PwC India. Nutanix appoints former IBM exec as CTO for APJ region

Nutanix has appointed Daryush Ashjari as the chief technology officer of the Asia-Pacific Japan region. This expands Ashjari's current role as vice president of Asia-Pacific and Japan (APJ) Solution Engineering. In his new position, Daryush will oversee engineering, technical operations, and the development of innovative solutions to meet today's hybrid multicloud demands. Additionally, he will lead C-level engagements across the region. With nearly four decades of IT experience, Daryush has worked with leading companies such as IBM, Novell, Cisco, Citrix, EMC, and McAfee. Guardian India appoints Karunakaran Azhisur as CIO

Guardian India, the global capability center of Guardian Life Insurance, has named Karunakaran Azhisur as its Chief Information Officer for India. In this role, Azhisur will report to Guardian India's Country Head, Shiney Prasad. Azhisur brings over 25 years of technology leadership experience to Guardian India, having held senior positions in various global companies. Before joining Guardian India, he served as the Global CIO for GE Vernova's Hydro Power Business and previously as the Regional CIO for Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. He led the Global Software Engineering team for GE Gas Power and oversaw GE's India Digital Hub, serving on the board of GE India Industrials. A seasoned technology professional, Basu previously served as Senior Director and Global Head of IT AI & Analytics at Cognizant, focusing on data-driven business decisions. His extensive experience includes senior roles at General Electric across various divisions and contributions to the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council and the 3AI Thought Leaders Circle. In his new role, Basu will lead initiatives to leverage data and AI for improved business efficiency and innovation, reinforcing Firstsource's commitment to enhancing its technology capabilities.
