Wipro, Microsoft, and SAP partner to facilitate low-cost cloud migrations for enterprises
Wipro, a technology services and consulting company, has announced a new partnership with Microsoft and SAP aimed at simplifying the transition to RISE with SAP on the Microsoft Cloud. This collaboration aims to support companies in moving their SAP operations to a cloud-based environment, providing resources and incentives to reduce migration costs.
Under the collaboration, Wipro will deliver a structured plan and best practices to guide clients through their migration. By aligning with Microsoft and SAP, Wipro aims to enhance digital operations, improve process efficiency, and offer a more seamless customer experience. An essential aspect of this partnership is the financial support provided, which brings the cost of migration close to zero for eligible clients.
Srinivas Sai Nidadhavolu, Vice President and Global SAP Practice Leader, Wipro Limited. “By leveraging our industry-leading digital capabilities, together with the expertise of partners, we are well positioned to accelerate our client' transformation into intelligent enterprises, driving them towards sustainable growth.”
This partnership is particularly relevant as SAP’s support for certain on-premises systems is expected to shift by 2027, encouraging organizations to transition from SAP S/4HANA to SAP S/4HANA Cloud. Wipro's approach leverages Microsoft’s cloud infrastructure alongside SAP’s services, making the migration process more efficient for businesses and ensuring they continue to operate smoothly during and after the transition.
"Our collaboration with SAP and Wipro, to accelerate RISE with SAP deployments on the Microsoft Cloud, provides customers a scalable and secure solution that delivers the performance needed to drive business transformation,” said Stephen Boyle, Global Leader, GSI, ESI and Advisory Partners, at Microsoft.
The partnership aims to ease the path for businesses adapting to cloud-based SAP solutions, aligning with a broader industry trend toward digital transformation and intelligent enterprise practices.
