Genpact opens new facility in Jodhpur, aims to create 5,000 Jobs
Genpact, a global professional services firm, has opened a new facility in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. This expansion is projected to create up to 5,000 jobs over the next five years, enhancing Genpact’s operations in India and contributing to regional economic growth.
The Jodhpur facility will support Genpact’s services in artificial intelligence, and digital transformation for global clients. The center is expected to play a central role in supporting Genpact’s international operations and providing critical services to various sectors. By tapping into Jodhpur's workforce, Genpact seeks to enhance its capability to drive innovation and sustainable growth across its services, it said.
The expansion also aligns with the company’s goal of diversifying its talent pool in India, where a large number of skilled professionals are concentrated in smaller cities.
Alongside job creation, this new center will offer skill development programs for local workers, aimed at building a strong digital talent base. Genpact sees this as part of its commitment to local economic development.
“By drawing on Jodhpur’s rich talent pool, we’re not only expanding our operations but also positioning ourselves to deliver enhanced AI and digital transformation services to clients worldwide,” said Piyush Mehta, CHRO and Country Manager, India, Genpact.
As per the company, India plays a key role in Genpact’s strategy, with 70% of the company’s workforce based here. The Jodhpur office follows recent expansions in Madurai and Warangal and will further strengthen Genpact’s services in finance, healthcare, and banking.
