Google Cloud chief joins ServiceNow as COO
 
Just a day after announcing his departure from Google, Amit Zavery, the Indian-American cloud chief, is set to step into a new role as Chief Operating Officer at US-based software company ServiceNow. The company, which specialises in cloud platforms for managing digital workflows in enterprise operations, confirmed that Zavery will also hold the titles of President and Chief Product Officer (CPO), effective October 28. Google appoints new chief technologist amid AI expansion
 
In bid to bolster AI advancements, Google has promoted Prabhakar Raghavan, previously responsible for search and ad products, to Chief Technologist. Nick Fox, a long-time executive at Google, will now lead Raghavan’s former responsibilities. Google CEO Sundar Pichai noted that Raghavan, after 12 years at the company, will bring his deep technical expertise to drive innovation and provide guidance on AI initiatives in this new role. Thermax welcomes new CTO to lead sustainable technology efforts
 
Thermax Limited, an energy and environmental solutions provider, has appointed Santanu Chaudhuri as CTO and a member of its Senior Management team. With over 27 years of global experience in materials science and computational engineering, Chaudhuri will lead technology strategies focused on sustainable energy. His previous roles included a professorship at the University of Illinois Chicago and program leadership at Argonne National Laboratory, where he advanced materials engineering through computational tools, particularly in additive manufacturing and nanoscale modeling. EnerMech names Chetan Bhat as global CIO
 
Engineering and offshore services company EnerMech has appointed Chetan Bhat as its first Global CIO. Based in Aberdeen, Scotland, Bhat will lead EnerMech’s digital strategy to enhance business systems and customer experience across its international markets, including India, the Asia Pacific, and the Middle East. EnerMech, which serves global energy and infrastructure sectors, was acquired by The Carlyle Group in 2018. (Read more)
