Omega Healthcare partners with UiPath to streamline operations using AI-powered automation

UiPath, automation and artificial intelligence (AI) software company, has collaborated with Omega Healthcare, healthcare and revenue cycle management services provider. The partnership focuses on using AI-driven automation to enhance Omega Healthcare’s operational efficiency. 

Omega Healthcare is leveraging the UiPath platform as part of its digital transformation strategy. The platform, equipped with AI, security, and governance features, is used to optimise workflows and improve business outcomes. Since adopting UiPath’s automation tools, Omega Healthcare has processed over 60 million transactions in four years, it said. 

Through UiPath's automation solutions, Omega Healthcare has significantly streamlined processes, particularly in health documentation management. The company applies AI to automatically extract data from documents, reducing the time medical specialists spend on administrative tasks. This allows them to focus on delivering strategic results for clients. 

Omega Healthcare has reported improvements since implementing UiPath. These include a 100% increase in worker productivity, a 40% reduction in time spent on documentation tasks, and monthly savings of 6,700 worker hours. The company has also seen a 50% reduction in turnaround time and a 99.5% accuracy rate in automated processes, resulting in a 30% return on investment in the first year. 

The integration of UiPath’s tools, including its AI Trust Layer, also supports Omega Healthcare’s long-term strategy of developing custom AI and machine learning models to optimise its services. The company aims to build on this collaboration to enhance its Omega Digital Platform, which helps healthcare organisations improve their financial performance and streamline workflows, it said.
