Cloud-based software company Salesforce has partnered with Tata Consumer Products Limited (TCPL) to drive its digital transformation. This collaboration includes the launch of a Go-To-Market (GTM) platform aimed at enhancing TCPL’s sales and distribution operations.

TCPL, a major player in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector, is integrating Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Platform, and MuleSoft to become a digital-first, data-driven organisation. By adopting these advanced technologies, TCPL aims to optimize customer experiences and streamline operations.

In four months, the new platform was rolled out nationwide to over 3,000 distributors, with up to 200 distributors being onboarded daily at peak deployment. This rapid implementation highlights the platform's scalability and agility. The Salesforce Customer 360 suite, embedded within the platform, provides real-time market intelligence, offering insights into distributor sales and retail activity.

The platform’s user-friendly design has made it easy for distributors and sales representatives to adopt with minimal training. Distributor onboarding time has been slashed from over a week to just 45 minutes, and new retailers can be set up to place orders in under two minutes. This quick deployment of multiple partners highlights the agility of the platform.

Sunil D’Souza, CEO & Managing Director of TCPL, said. "This partnership has enhanced our digital capabilities, allowing us to adapt quickly to market changes. The rapid deployment of such a comprehensive platform is unprecedented in the industry.”

In August, Salesforce teamed up with Coforge to launch Coforge ENZO, an environmental and net-zero solution designed to help businesses address decarbonisation challenges. Additionally, in June, Salesforce announced the upcoming launch of its Digital Lending platform in India, aimed at streamlining consumer lending processes for banks and lenders, along with the introduction of its Public Sector division to enhance citizen services through digital tools.
