Cyient, an Indian intelligent engineering solutions provider, has entered into a partnership with Business Finland, the Finnish government organisation, to drive innovation in advanced technologies. The collaboration aims to accelerate advancements in areas such as 5G, artificial intelligence (AI), sustainability solutions, space technology, and robotics, the company said in a regulatory filing.

The partnership is expected to enhance Finland’s reputation as a leader in technological innovation, further developing its digital industries. Gitta Perez, Director of Middle East & India (Region Head) at Business Finland, said, "Through this collaboration, Finnish businesses will gain access to Cyient's wide network, unlocking market potential. Our joint efforts will strengthen Finland's leadership in emerging technologies and support the growth of new digital industries."

Cyient’s recent strategic moves, particularly in the Nordic region, align perfectly with this collaboration. The partnership will provide Cyient with greater access to Finnish technology and innovation, helping the company expand its market presence across the region.

Rajaneesh Kini, President & Chief Technology Officer at Cyient, expressed his excitement about the collaboration, said, "This partnership represents a pivotal step towards integrating Finnish innovation into our global strategy, particularly in the areas of digital, autonomous, and sustainability solutions. By incorporating Finland's expertise into our ecosystem, we will continue co-creating solutions that address global challenges and deliver value to our customers worldwide."

This initiative comes at a time when Finland is recognized globally for its innovation-friendly environment and strong societal trust. For the seventh consecutive year, Finland has been named the happiest country in the world, according to the UN World Happiness Report, further cementing its role as an ideal hub for fostering groundbreaking technologies.

On August 20, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), India’s largest IT service provider, launched its newest TCS Pace Studio in Stockholm, Sweden. This facility aims to offer customers across the Nordic region—Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Denmark—exclusive access to TCS's innovation ecosystem.

In other developments, on September 19, Infosys expanded its partnership with Finland's postal service, Posti, to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency using Infosys Topaz and the cloud-based Infosys Cobalt platform. Just days earlier, on September 17, Infosys announced a long-term collaboration with the UK's Metro Bank to digitize operations, enhance automation, and integrate AI-driven capabilities.
