The Maharashtra State Cyber Department, in partnership with L&T Technology Services, has inaugurated India's first integrated Cyber Command and Control Center. This new initiative aims to strengthen the state's ability to combat cybercrime, protect digital infrastructure, and enhance cybersecurity for citizens, businesses, and critical sectors.

The project aims to streamline cybercrime investigations, improve conviction rates, build capacity within the police force, and raise public awareness about cyber threats. L&T Technology Services, along with KPMG Assurance and Consulting Services LLP as a forensics and technology investigation partner, led the project for the Maharashtra Cyber Department.

Key components of the project include a Cyber Crime Command & Control Center, a Technology-Assisted Investigation center with advanced forensic tools, a CERT-Maharashtra unit with AI-based threat intelligence, a Security Operations Center, and a Cyber Center of Excellence to train law enforcement and educate the public on cybersecurity.

The center, based in Mahape, will also handle grievance management through multiple channels, including a helpline (14407, operational from October 15), web portal, and mobile app. District cyber police stations will investigate complaints with support from the Technology-Assisted Investigation system. The CERT-Maharashtra unit will address incidents related to critical infrastructure and national security, while providing proactive threat intelligence using AI.

The facility includes over 50 forensic technologies, 17 threat intelligence tools, and 13 cybersecurity tools, supported by a team of over 150 experts. It integrates 50 district cyber police stations across the state.

“L&T Technology Services is delighted to collaborate with the Maharashtra State Cyber Department on this groundbreaking project executed in a record time leveraging our experience in setting up and managing 25+ Smart & Safe Cities command centers and Security Operation Centers,” said Mr. Amit Chadha, CEO and Managing Director of L&T Technology Services.
