Mitra's appointment comes as Tata Electronics ramps up its focus on AI-led manufacturing, particularly with the establishment of India's first semiconductor Fab in Dholera, Gujarat, and the nation's first indigenous semiconductor assembly and test facility in Jagiroad, Assam, the company said in a statement.

"We are delighted to welcome Bobby to Tata Electronics. He will focus on enhancing our technology and manufacturing capabilities through AI and digital systems.
