NetApp has promoted Ganesan Arumugam as Senior Director for APAC Channel Sales & Alliances. In this new position, Arumugam will spearhead NetApp's channel strategy across the Asia Pacific region, collaborating with global and regional leaders to strengthen the company’s partner ecosystem. Before this, he was the head of APJ channel & Alliance. 

Arumugam will focus on enhancing the skills and capabilities of technical teams within the Partner Organisation and will also lead the expansion of NetApp's Partner Sphere program. This program is aimed at accelerating the adoption of NetApp’s unified data storage, integrated data services, and CloudOps solutions throughout the region.

With nearly 35 years of experience in the technology sector, Arumugam has held significant roles at major firms, including Wipro, VMware, and Symantec. Before joining NetApp in 2020, he spent over four years at Symantec as Director of Partner & Commercial Sales. He holds a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Anna University, Chennai, and an MBA in Marketing and Finance from Bharathidasan Institute of Management, Tiruchirappalli.

Andrew Sotiropoulos, Senior Vice President and General Manager for NetApp Asia Pacific, praised Arumugam’s appointment, said, "Our channels and partner ecosystem are central to our Go-to-Market strategy and growth in APAC. Arumugam will report directly to Sotiropoulos and will be based in Singapore, continuing to drive NetApp’s regional strategy and supporting the company’s growth in the APAC market.
