Airtel Business, Fortinet partner for internet security solution for enterprises
Airtel Business, the B2B arm of Bharti Airtel, has joined hands with cybersecurity company Fortinet to launch ‘Airtel Secure Internet,’ an internet security solution aimed at providing comprehensive protection against cyber threats. The service is designed to enhance security over Internet Lease Line (ILL) circuits by combining Airtel’s trusted internet connectivity with Fortinet’s advanced firewall technologies.
The solution offers end-to-end security through Airtel’s Security Operations Centre (SOC) and Fortinet’s Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) platform. This integration ensures 24x7 monitoring, threat detection, and real-time response to cyber threats, providing robust protection for enterprises across India.
Sharat Sinha, CEO of Airtel Business, said, “With Airtel Secure Internet, we are offering a future-proof solution that strengthens enterprises’ cybersecurity while minimising the need for high capital expenditure.”
Fortinet’s Country Manager for India & SAARC, Vivek Srivastava, said, “Our collaboration with Airtel Business to offer ‘Secure Internet’ delivers a cost-effective solution, providing 24x7 security event monitoring and detection. By utilising the SOC-as-a-Service model, organisations can reduce their total cost of ownership, bridge the cybersecurity skills gap, and ensure comprehensive protection.”
The new solution is designed to address the growing cybersecurity challenges faced by businesses, particularly small and medium enterprises (SMEs), which often lack the expertise and resources to manage complex security infrastructures. SMEs can benefit from Airtel’s next-generation iSOC, a cyber defense center offering a wide range of security services.
This launch follows another recent partnership by Airtel Business. On September 19, the company collaborated with Cisco to introduce Airtel Software-Defined (SD) Branch, a cloud-based network solution designed to simplify enterprise networking. Powered by Cisco's Meraki platform, Airtel SD-Branch enables seamless management of networks across multiple locations, improving application performance, security, and operational efficiency for businesses.
