FNP appoints former Nykaa exec as its CTO
Gifting platform Ferns N Petals (FNP) has appointed Gaurav Sharma as its new chief technology officer (CTO). In this role, Sharma will oversee the company’s tech infrastructure, drive innovation, and build digital experience for FNP’s expanding global customer base, the company said.
Sharma will be leading FNP’s technological roadmap, integrating advanced systems and artificial intelligence (AI)-driven solutions aimed at personalising the gifting experience, enhancing operational efficiency, and setting new standards in customer satisfaction.
“Sharma's expertise in scaling tech platforms and his insight into evolving digital trends make him the ideal leader to propel FNPʼs innovation agenda forward,” said Pawan Gadia, Global CEO & Director, FNP.
Sharma is an alumnus of IIT Kanpur with a degree in Computer Science. Before joining FNP, he served as the Head of Engineering at the online gaming platform Zupee. His career also includes his role as Senior Vice President of Engineering at Nykaa, where he played a key role in building the technology team from the ground up. He scaled up the team to 300 members, which eventually contributed to Nykaa’s growth journey leading up to the IPO in 2021.
In January, FNP relaunched its mobile app which contributes to 45% of the brand’s total revenue. The revamp of the app includes introducing a user-friendly interface, for providing a seamless shopping experience. FNP has alsoimplemented robust authentication methods to prevent unauthorised access. All confidential customer data is encrypted for a better security and privacy.
