Chennai-based software company Zoho has reported a 31% increase in customer growth in India for 2023. The announcement was made during Zoholics India, Zoho’s annual user conference, where the company also launched two new products, Vikra, a seller app for the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), and Zoho IoT, a platform for businesses to create and manage internet of things (IoT) solutions.

"As businesses increasingly seek value from their software solutions and larger organisations aim to reduce bloat, we're seeing significant growth in India, which has now become our second-largest market," said Sridhar Vembu, CEO and Co-founder, Zoho Corp.

Vikra, one of Zoho's new offerings, helps businesses onboard onto the ONDC network, enabling them to set up online stores, manage product catalogs, and sell through popular buyer platforms like Paytm and Snapdeal. The app integrates with Zoho’s finance and operations software, such as Zoho Books and Zoho Inventory, allowing businesses to handle everything from financial management to delivery logistics in one place. It also provides features like instant order notifications via WhatsApp and SMS, and supports deliveries through partners like Delhivery.

The second product, Zoho IoT, is a low-code platform that allows businesses to build custom IoT solutions without needing advanced technical skills. The platform collects real-time data from IoT devices, offering insights that can be used to automate processes, predict system issues, and optimise operations. Zoho IoT is compatible with both Zoho’s software suite and third-party hardware, making it easy for businesses to scale their IoT capabilities.

Zoho’s growth in India has been largely fueled by demand for flexible and scalable solutions like Zoho One, Zoho CRM, and Zoho Books. The company is also enhancing its AI capabilities, while prioritising data privacy, with AI models not trained on customer data, the company said.
