Hexaware, PointCross partner to enhance clinical data management
Indian IT services firm Hexaware Technologies has partnered with PointCross Life Sciences to unveil Clinical Data Automation as a Solution (CDAaaS), leveraging PointCross' Xbiom platform. This new offering aims to streamline the clinical data lifecycle, making it more efficient and cost-effective.
The key features of CDAaaS include automated data management, utilising Xbiom to automate clinical data management, curation, and standardisation. The solution also offers advanced automation features like metadata repositories, smart transformers, artificial intelligence (AI)-augmented indexed repositories, and onboard bio-statistical tools.
Additionally, CDAaaS provides patient insights through highly configurable dashboards and ongoing, integrated patient data streams. It also aims to reduce costs and the time needed to identify data inconsistencies, relevant findings, and reconciliation queries. The collaboration addresses the clinical trials industry's critical need for cost reduction and faster data submissions.
“This collaboration combines Hexaware’s expertise in clinical solutions with PointCross’ data automation platform, offering a ready-built, deployable solution that aims to enhance data accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency. We’re excited to bring this capability to the industry, targeted towards driving faster, more reliable outcomes,” Srinivas Marimganti, Head of Life Sciences & Healthcare, Hexaware Technologies said in a statement.
Suresh Madhavan, CEO, of PointCross Inc., added, “By utilising machine learning and automation, we reduce the cost and time associated with clinical trial data management while adhering to mandated standards and seamlessly integrating emerging and disparate biomarker data.”
Hexaware’s Lifesciences and Healthcare practices have been in service for more than 10 years and its client base includes leading global biopharma, emerging-pharma, cell and gene therapy and healthcare organisations to help leverage technology to drive their business, launch products and improve the delivery of global healthcare with the ultimate objective of bringing smiles to patients.
Last year, the Mumbai-based company enhanced its healthcare industry capabilities by acquiring Highpoint Solutions and Mobiquity businesses last year. The acquisitions were meant to help clients boost healthcare providers with improved productivity and financial performance.
Market research firm HFS Research mentioned that Hexaware’s integration of life sciences acquisitions indicates it is strengthening its value proposition to life sciences to help benefit from emerging technologies and innovative solutions beyond the traditional biosciences space.
In August, Hexaware formed a partnership with Blumetra Solutions, a specialist in master data management (MDM), to develop cloud-based MDM solutions for the life sciences industry. This collaboration focused on improving data management and governance, ensuring data integration across research, development, clinical, and commercial teams.
As part of the Blumetra partnership, the companies will utilise Generative AI (GenAI) to enhance data quality and governance, ensuring more reliable and accurate data across the lifecycle of products.
