IT services firm TCS has launched a new delivery center in Warsaw in Poland. With this center, the company aims at expanding its operations in the country and doubling its workforce to over 1,200 people in the region.

The Warsaw center will be part of TCS’ European delivery network to facilitate the delivery of hyper-connected services to its customers. TCS said in a statement that it will also help the company to tap into the growing Polish Information and Communication Technology (ICT) talent pool, which is also one of the largest in Europe.

TCS first set up its operations in Poland in 2006 and it claims that its presence in the region has strengthened since. TCS also said that its investment in the region is expected to help meet European governments growth targets for digital skills, infrastructures, and business capabilities by 2030. It recently opened a new Aviation Digital Centre in Lisbon with Portugal’s national airline TAP and expanded its TCS Pace™ innovation network with its new Pace Studio in Stockholm. TCS recently inaugurated a first-of-its-kind AI Centre of Excellence at its Paris Pace Port.

“For nearly twenty years, TCS has been establishing solid partnerships with prominent Polish and global companies. Our decision to invest and scale our presence demonstrates our faith in the Polish economy and the exceptional talent available here to support our customers across the world,” said Sapthagiri Chapalapalli, Head of Europe, TCS.

To be sure, during the Q1FY25 results, the company registered a growth of 0.9% in Continental Europe, even as its US market remained subdued. The company however said that all major markets were back to sequential growth.
