NetApp expands collaboration with AWS to enhance cloud data services
US-based data storage and management company NetApp has enhanced its collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to improve cloud-based data services and help businesses leverage artificial intelligence (AI) for growth and innovation.
The collaboration, which has lasted over a decade, focuses on accelerating generative AI efforts, simplifying transactions, and enhancing CloudOps services for customers. It also aims to accelerate the development of generative AI by helping customers integrate their data into AI pipelines, the company said in a statement.
NetApp’s BlueXP workload factory and AWS’ Amazon Bedrock are key tools in this effort, enabling businesses to use generative AI models effectively.
As per the company, the partnership will also make it easier for customers to purchase NetApp solutions via the AWS Marketplace and test how these services support their operations.
“With NetApp cloud solutions on AWS, our customers maintain full control over their data across their entire hybrid cloud environment while benefiting from industry-leading scalability, data availability, security, and performance of AWS,” said Ashish Dhawan, Senior Vice President of Cloud Sales at NetApp.
On the same track, NetApp extended it partnership with Google Cloud in April this year so that its customers can better leverage data for hybrid cloud and generative AI workloads. Under this partnership, the two firms also launched Flex service level for companies to have more flexibility and control to run existing infrastructure.
