Freshworks appoints new Vice President of Sales for India
Freshworks, a Chennai-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) company, has appointed Shelton Rego as its new vice president of sales for India. Rego will be responsible for driving growth in the region, strengthening the company's market presence, and expanding its customer base.
Rego has vast experience in sales leadership and business development, having previously worked at Jio Platforms, where he was the country head for its cloud business, Jio Cloud. He has also held key roles at Google Cloud, SAP Concur, and Oracle.
In his new position, Rego will focus on developing the company's business strategy in India. His responsibilities include increasing market share, improving customer relationships, and exploring new partnership opportunities.
He holds an MBA in marketing degree from Loyola Institute Of Business Administration, Chennai. Apart from this, he has done a certificate course on Sales Leadership Excellence from Dale Carnegie Training.
Rego will play a key role in bringing the company’s artificial intelligence (AI)-powered customer and employee experience solutions to businesses in India. He will work closely with global leaders to achieve the company’s growth objectives.
