NTT DATA, IBM partner to launch SimpliZCloud for financial services in India
NTT DATA, a global IT services provider, and IBM, a technology company, have partnered to launch SimpliZCloud, a fully managed cloud service designed to meet the infrastructure needs of financial services organizations. Built on IBM’s LinuxONE platform, the service aims to support critical applications such as core banking, lending, and risk management.
SimpliZCloud offers financial institutions the ability to optimize infrastructure investments by consolidating resources and reducing enterprise software license costs. Its subscription-based model allows businesses to avoid large capital investments and maintenance expenses, the company said.
The platform is built on a secure and scalable architecture, providing dedicated compute and storage resources powered by Software Defined Networking (SDN). SimpliZCloud offers improved performance compared to traditional x86 architecture, enabling enterprises to move towards hybrid cloud environments. This consolidation can also help reduce data center footprints, promoting sustainability.
“With SimpliZCloud, enterprises, especially financial institutions now have the power to make a generational shift in their cloud transformation journey. Critical business applications, especially those infused with AI and ML will now have the infrastructure to support performance far ahead of the traditional x86 architectures all in a fully managed, as-a-service model.” said Avinash Joshi, Chief Executive Officer, India, NTT DATA.
“By bringing SimpliZCloud to modern enterprises, we are continuing our commitment to help them adopt a hybrid-by-design approach. With SimpliZCloud, financial institutions can leverage a highly secure, high-performance platform and robust infrastructure to harness the benefits of AI and hybrid cloud to manage their evolving applications and workloads,” said Viswanath Ramaswamy, Vice President, Technology, IBM India & South Asia.
As per the company, the service is positioned to support financial institutions and other organizations with mission-critical workloads, providing modern, flexible infrastructure on a private cloud platform that meets regulatory requirements.
