Adobe Express expands features to support eight Indian languages
Adobe has updated its content creation platform by introducing support for multiple Indian languages. Adobe Express' translation feature for desktop users has been expanded to include Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi, Tamil, and Telugu.
This move aims to empower millions of users across India to create professional designs in their native languages, significantly enhancing the platform's accessibility and ease of use. While feature in all eight languages will be supported on Desktop, the interface will also be available on mobile as well for Hindi, Tamil, and Bengali users, the company said in a statement.
The update also enables users to incorporate Adobe Firefly-powered generative AI tools, including features like Generative Fill and Generate Image, allowing for the quick and easy creation of localised content such as videos, logos, flyers, and banners.
Key features in the current update include auto translation, localised user interface, text element translation and multi-page translation.
With auto translation users can seamlessly translate text across both single and multi-page files, eliminating the need for external tools. This feature is currently free for a limited time. The localised user interface is available in Hindi, Tamil, and Bengali; with text-element translation selective translation of specific text elements, maintaining accuracy for names and brands can be done and multi-page translation enables quick translation across multiple pages, improving workflow efficiency.
In May, Adobe announced that its Adobe Experience Platform-based applications will be made available to enterprise customers in India through a local data center later this year. This move is expected to enhance performance by reducing latency and ensuring compliance with India's data residency regulations.
Additionally, it also launched a new artificial intelligence (AI)-powered tool, the Acrobat AI Assistant, designed to transform workplace productivity. Targeted at enterprise users, the tool aims to deliver significant efficiency improvements across organisations.
