NTT DATA launches new AI platform and services for Indian businesses
IT infrastructure and services provider NTT DATA has launched its new 'Accelerated AI Platform' in India. This solution aims to empower businesses with advanced AI capabilities, simplifying the adoption process and eliminating the complexities often associated with traditional AI implementations.
The AI platform offers a wide range of AI services, improved GPU infrastructure, and a cost-effective pay-as-you-go pricing model. It is designed to assist enterprises, startups, government bodies, and educational institutions in overcoming the challenges of AI deployment. The platform features expert guidance from a team of AI specialists, providing end-to-end support from conceptualization to deployment and optimization. It also offers flexible, modular solutions that allow clients to tailor their needs, combining the right infrastructure, development components, and services.
NTT DATA’s portfolio of proprietary AI tools, including accelerators, frameworks, and other resources, enhances the effectiveness and efficiency of AI projects.
The platform leverages advanced Graphics Processing Units (GPUs), which are specially designed to handle complex calculations quickly, making them ideal for demanding AI workloads. The cost-effective pay-as-you-go model further reduces financial burdens, allowing clients to access advanced infrastructure without significant capital expenditure.
“AI initiatives can be complex and resource-intensive, so we have developed an intelligent platform that directly addresses these challenges,” said Avinash Joshi, CEO of NTT DATA India. “The launch of the Accelerated AI Platform comes at a time of growing demand for high-performance computing resources, with AI adoption in India growing at an annual rate of 25-35%. Our platform, built on powerful infrastructure with advanced GPU resources, offers expert guidance from the initial conceptual stage through deployment, ensuring the success of our clients’ AI projects,” he added.
Designed primarily for Indian enterprises, startups, government bodies, and educational institutions adopting AI and high-performance computing (HPC) technologies, the platform provides on-demand access to state-of-the-art technology and comprehensive services. By eliminating the need for heavy capital investments in hardware, it supports a wide range of AI applications such as training, foundational model creation, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), inference services, and fine-tuning, tailored to meet specific requirements.
To meet the infrastructure needs of this platform, NTT DATA India has partnered with Neysa, an AI cloud and platform-as-a-service (PaaS) startup funded by NTT DATA. Neysa supplies the essential components, including high-end GPUs necessary for running advanced Language Models (LLMs) on which the AI is based. These components are provided in an as-a-service model, supporting both training and inference workloads. By integrating Neysa’s offerings into the Accelerated AI Platform, NTT DATA delivers comprehensive, end-to-end AI services for its clients.
In June, NTT Data named Abhijit Dubey as the chief executive officer for its operations outside of Japan. Dubey, who held the position of CEO at NTT Ltd, takes over from Kazuhiro Nishihata, while Yo Honma will maintain his role as president and CEO, as well as representative director of NTT DATA Group Corporation.
The same month, the company announced the completion of the merger between NTT DATA and NTT Ltd., which has resulted in a business valued at over $30 billion operating under the NTT DATA brand.
