Hitachi Vantara, a subsidiary of Hitachi, and Broadcom have introduced a new private and hybrid cloud solution designed to help organisations manage growing data demands and artificial intelligence (AI)-related challenges. The solution integrates Hitachi Vantara’s Unified Compute Platform (UCP) RS with VMware Cloud Foundation. 

This collaboration aims to modernise cloud infrastructure by combining automation, software-defined services, and enterprise-grade infrastructure. The goal is to improve performance, scalability, and data management while reducing costs, energy use, and environmental impact. 

The new platform, powered by VMware Cloud Foundation, offers a comprehensive solution for private and hybrid clouds. It simplifies operational complexity, promotes sustainability, and lowers total cost of ownership through advanced automation and flexible consumption models

The platform is one of the first to be approved by Broadcom as an OEM solution with VMware Cloud Foundation. It includes integrated software, infrastructure, and hardware life cycle automation through UCP Advisor and SDDC Manager, ensuring seamless operation. The platform is flexible enough to handle business-critical workloads and offers unified management of private cloud infrastructure with automated storage management for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
