German software company SAP's Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS) will implement CyberArk's Identity Security Platform to secure privileged and sensitive access to their cloud services. SAP ECS, a business unit that focuses on the delivery of managed cloud services., and is recognised as one of the largest private cloud in the world, will integrate CyberArk’s solutions to safeguard privileged and sensitive access to its extensive cloud infrastructure, which supports the operations of over 6,000 major organisations across various industries.

The partnership will focus on implementing zero standing privileges, a security measure that ensures no user has default or perpetual access to sensitive data and systems. This approach aims to protect privileged administrators, who are often prime targets for cyberattacks due to their elevated access rights. By deploying components of the CyberArk Identity Security Platform, including CyberArk Secure Cloud Access, SAP ECS aims to reduce vulnerabilities, simplify auditing, and increase cyber resilience.

SAP ECS’s cloud services, which operate on hundreds of thousands of servers, offer customers a robust and secure environment for running their SAP enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. The flexibility of SAP ECS allows customers to choose their preferred cloud infrastructure, whether through hyperscalers, their own data centers, or SAP's data centers, facilitating cost-effective and sustainable business transformations.
