PwC India collaborates with Microsoft to spruce up cybersecurity using Copilot
PwC India and Microsoft India announced a collaboration on Monday to enhance cybersecurity by leveraging advanced incident response and recovery solutions.
With Microsoft Copilot for Security, an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered, natural language, security analysis solution, PwC India can help clients better understand their risk profile, make informed decisions and mitigate new and existing threats.
The fusion of Microsoft's vast threat intelligence and data with PwC's incident management capabilities ensures swifter threat detection and system restoration. Microsoft's Incident Response will promptly identify and eliminate cyber threats, while PwC India will focus on securely rebuilding systems, the companies said in a joint statement.
Terence Gomes, Partner at PwC India, said that the partnership will help them significantly reduce the incident response time and also rapidly process large volumes of data to provide key insights to strengthen the enterprise’s overall security posture.
Anand Jethalia, Country Head of Security at Microsoft India, added that the partnership is geared towards assisting organisations in maintaining resilience against intricate cyber threats through AI innovations.
Earlier this month, PwC India and Google Cloud, Google’s cloud platform, partnered to deliver Google Security Operations, AI-powered SecOps platform, to organisations throughout India. Google Cloud’s new Security Operations will further ensure customers can maintain data residency controls, a critical factor for security-conscious organisations, the company said.
In June, industrial automation solutions provider Honeywell and PwC India announced a partnership to accelerate enterprise digitalisation projects and better prepare companies for future challenges.
Overall, through these collaborations, PwC India will enhance threat data and global visibility, enabling clients to better mitigate cyber risks. The concerns regarding cyber risk are substantial, as indicated by PwC India's CEO Survey 2024. This partnership plays a crucial role in fortifying security measures and responding effectively to incidents.
Globally too, PwC has been investing in cybersecurity across regions, to spend $12 billion and hire 100,000 new people in areas such as artificial intelligence and cybersecurity by 2026.
