American technology company Oracle on Wednesday announced new user experience capabilities within Oracle Fusion Cloud Human Capital Management (HCM), the tech major’s cloud-based HCM software application suite. The new capabilities called Activity Centers, are designed to help enterprises streamline HR processes for candidates, employees, managers, and recruiters and lead to increased productivity.

Oracle said in a press release that these Activity Centers provide information and tools to help increase job effectiveness and impact through a centralised action-focused hub that is tailored to each individual and their roles and responsibilities.

“To keep pace with changing business priorities, employees need easy-to-use tools that allow them to work with speed and accuracy while focusing on the tasks that matter most within their role,” said Chris Leone, executive vice president, of applications development, at Oracle.

"With role-specific Activity Center user experiences, Oracle Cloud HCM users are empowered with quick access to insights, actions, and tools that increase productivity, accelerate HR processes, improve the employee experience, and foster organization-wide growth."

The Activity Centers are currently available in four areas: Employee Activity Centers, Team Activity Centers, Recruiting Activity Centers, and Payroll Activity Centers. Each area is designed specifically for the employee, manager, or specialist in that area to produce KPIs, insights, tasks, communications, and other actions.

These Centers also have an AI component that Oracle said can "make recommendations and alter settings to help focus users on what matters most."

In June last year, Oracle introduced generative AI-powered capabilities within Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM solution to help enhance HR productivity for enterprises. This was supported by the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) generative AI service, the new capabilities are embedded in existing HR processes to drive faster business value and improve productivity.

In October, Oracle announced a new Oracle HCM Now to help HR teams at mid-size enterprises attract, empower and retain the best employees. The solution offered a flexible implementation approach to adopting Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM, enabling mid-size enterprises with up to 15,000 employees to reduce implementation costs and complexity, the company said.

Based on data from market research firm 6sense.com, Oracle HCM holds nearly 9.0% market share in the highly fragmented HCM market, facing competition from Workday, SAP HCM, and Paycor, to name a few. The US, UK and India are the top three regions with the highest number of Oracle HCM Cloud customers for compensation management, it said.
