Capri Loans appoints new Group CTO

Capri Global Capital appoints Tarun Aggarwal as the new Group Chief Technology Officer, bringing nearly two decades of technology leadership experience. Aggarwal's focus is on driving innovation, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing customer-centric solutions at the company. His expertise includes Generative AI, Big Data Analytics, Cloud Computing, DevOps, and Quality Assurance. Before joining Capri Global Capital, Aggarwal held senior positions at Paytm, Adobe Systems, Quad Analytix, Expedia India, and Guavus Networks. Notable accomplishments include integrating India's Aadhaar Web Services with Adobe Sign and developing a multi-cloud disaster recovery solution. Aggarwal holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from IMT Ghaziabad and a B.Tech in Computer Science from Kurukshetra University. (Read more)

Quess Corp appoints CEO for global tech solutions business

Gurmeet Chahal has been named CEO of Quess GTS, which is transitioning into Digitide Solutions. With over 25 years of industry experience, Chahal has a strong background in digital transformation across various sectors. He previously oversaw Digital Transformation Services globally at Genpact and held key roles at HCL Technologies and DXC. Chahal is an alumnus of Punjab University and Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. The demerger of Quess Corp into Quess Corp Ltd., Digitide Solutions Ltd., and Bluspring Enterprises Ltd. is underway and expected to be completed in 12-15 months pending SEBI approval. Chahal's appointment aligns with the demerger process that commenced in February. The company's focus is on strengthening the management team, expanding in healthcare and financial services, and enhancing capabilities in Data Technology, AI, and Analytics. (Read more)

Siemens Healthineers appoints its India head of development centre

Siemens Healthineers, a spin-off from German technology conglomerate Siemens, has appointed Kalavathi GV as the Executive Director and Head of the Development Center (DC) in India. In her new capacity, she will be responsible for supervising the activities of more than 3,500 employees in India and Slovakia, leading the development of precise healthcare solutions through artificial intelligence, automation, and digital transformation across all Siemens Healthineers business lines. Kalavathi brings extensive experience in driving global digital transformation at major multinational corporations. Prior to this, she worked at Philips Healthcare for over 14 years and spent a decade at GE Healthcare, holding various leadership positions in both organizations. With a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the National Institute of Engineering, Mysore, she takes over from Dileep Mangsuli, who will now concentrate on leading global corporate initiatives against tuberculosis at Siemens Healthineers. Software engineering firm Ascendion gets new Chief AI Officer

Ascendion, a US company specializing in AI-first software engineering services, has named Daryush Laqab as Chief AI Officer, effective June 28. With over twenty years of experience, Laqab will drive innovation and operational excellence for all AI initiatives and technologies for clients, reporting directly to CEO Karthik Krishnamurthy. Laqab has held senior roles in technical engineering and AI product development at firms like JPMorgan Chase & Co., Microsoft, Twitter, and Google, and most recently served as Director of Product Management for Nvidia's Autonomous Vehicles and AI Infrastructure team. Volkswagen Group Technology Solutions India appoints new CTIO

Kamna Sama has been appointed the chief technology and information officer (CTIO) at the Volkswagen Group Technology Solutions India. Volkswagen Group Technology Solutions India (formerly Volkswagen IT Services India) is a global technology Hub of the Wolfsburg-headquartered Volkswagen Group. Before joining Volkswagen Group Technology Solutions, Sama was the Head of IT (Large Businesses) at power solutions provider Cummins Inc. Before that, she worked at Tata Consultancy Services for nearly two decades. Her last role at TCS was as Digital Practice Head for the global manufacturing unit. Sama is a committee member of the CII Regional Committee (NR) on Digital Transformation & AI. Ujjwal Diwakar has been appointed as the new Director of Enterprise Data Management at GSK in Bangalore. He worked at ABB as an ERP manager before joining GSK. He had previously worked for Tata Technologies, Infosys Technologies, and GE Aviation.

Dhaval Kamani has joined TransUnion CIBIL in a new role as CISO. He was Head of ISS (India) and Senior Vice President at DBS Bank before joining Transunion CIBIL. Before this, he worked at Orange Business Services, HSBC InvestDirect (India), Nomura, Mashreq Bank, YES Bank, and Deutsche Bank.

Durga Bhavani is the new Managing Director and Head of Moody’s India Global Capability Center (GCC). With her extensive experience in leading international teams and overseeing research, data, and analytics functions, she will now oversee the implementation of GCC strategy and local leadership goals in all Moody’s India offices. Bhavani has been with Moody’s since 2006, starting as a lead analyst and recently, she was responsible for analytical support teams in Costa Rica, India, and Lithuania, managing end-to-end operations.

Indium Software, appointed Basab Pradhan as the new Chairman of the Board. Pradhan spent over a decade at Infosys, where he rose from front-line sales roles to global Head of Sales and Marketing. More recently, Basab served as a member of the Board of Hexaware and as Chairman of the Board of Coforge Ltd. Pradhan is an alumnus of IIT Kanpur and IIM Ahmedabad and resides in the San Francisco Bay Area.
